When it comes to having exhibition, I wanted for it to have a big space, since it would match my target audience, for instance the extroverts that needs to go out will feel that they have seen a lot of things, while the introverts needs more space in general. This is why I have decided to use Coventry Cathedral.
Since my artist book was about the Coventry Cathedral, I already knew how it looks and how much space it has. When it comes to having to choose a spacious place in Coventry, I didn’t knew any better place that wouldn’t be too crowded. I have also looked into popular visiting times, so it would work with all of my target audience.
The other issue I had when it came to having such exhibition was how to use the space. I wanted to use the area in front since this is the most spacious area within Cathedral. I had remembered vintage kilo sales that was taking place in the Cathedral, so this has definitely helped me to visualise the area used for exhibition better. Basically as for the vintage kilo sale that has been held by “Prevoled Kilo” the same way for my exhibition it will need to have the seats moved from there. Everything from the entrance that goes before the altar will be used to build the exhibition.
