Deadlines

While I’m definitely stressing about deadlines, I’m also feeling calm, because I know that pretty much soon I will have more time to develop my skills on the things I like the most as there will be more free time for it.

Personally, I feel like deadlines is important part of development as a creative and not only. When I think of deadlines, I feel like it teaches me how to produce work in a timely manner as well as on how to organise my time so I would be able to do so. Also I have a feeling that I’m a person that likes to work under pressure since this is the environment I’m able to produce my best work as work the most productively. I feel like this is one of the skills employers are looking at when hiring.

There’s something that always comes up in my head when I think about deadlines rather than stress. That thing would be chaos. I feel like all the time when the deadlines are approaching, I create a chaos around me so I’m able to work better. I don’t know why, but I just feel like there’s more to do than there actually is when I’m around chaos and this helps me to trick my mind that I have to work a lot and hard. This really works on in my favour and I believe it’s one of the reasons why I was able to get 2 first grades last semester. Another good thing about having chaos in a workspace at home, it constantly reminds me that I have to do things rather than just lay in bed and do nothing. Basically, the chaos I create around myself when deadlines are close really helps me to get me on track of the things.

While deadlines sound scary in most of the cases, I believe it’s something that helps me to work more efficiently. So as weird as it sounds, I love having deadlines.
